The High Peak Lodge – a Hunter’s Sanctuary.

Your main base during your time at High Peak will be in our private, four-bedroom lodge located a short drive from the game estate. The High Peak Lodge is a modern, centrally heated stone and timber retreat fully kitted out with everything you need for relaxation with your friends and family in between hunting and adventuring.

Facilities include a gas-fired freshwater hot tub, a drying cupboard, wireless broadband, satellite TV, gunroom, a generous kitchen, living & dining area with a central stone fireplace and a sunny deck with a barbecue for enjoying those autumn evenings.

You’ll have ready access to the activities at Terrace Downs Resort, a world-class 18-hole golf resort that borders the Rakaia Gorge river canyon. The Lodge looks out over the 5th green directly toward the summit of the 7,200-foot Mt Hutt – after a good day’s hunting, sitting in the hot tub with a beer and this view isn’t a bad place to be.

The Hut – Your Back Country Retreat.

For those who want to stay out in the field, the High Peak Hut will give you a genuine New Zealand bush experience. Nestled in the native beech forest of the north quarter of the game estate, the hut is a rustic two bedroom hideaway equipped with solar lighting and fridge, a stone fireplace, full cooking facilities, a shower and even an outdoor bath! Most High Peak guests opt for spending at least one night out in the hut during their stay, and some will base their entire trip from the hut.

Private Tented Camp – For Groups Seeking a Truly Unique Experience.

If your party requires the ultimate in privacy on a larger scale, we have the ability to set up a private luxury tented camp at the Hut. Enjoy amazing food and hospitality, experience total tranquility and hunt literally from your front door-flap! The Private Tented Camp must be arranged well in advance to allow us sufficient time to set up for your party.
